DORCHESTER, BOWE BARBER SHOP (1972 - 1973) Coming from Stockbridge, Wisconsin, James Bowe opened up a business on January 1, 1972 in the former Virck's Barber Shop. The Virck's were in the barbering business 56 years, with Max starting it in 1916 and later Clarence running it from 1938 until selling to Mr. Bowe. James Bowe graduated from the Green Bay Vocational School for Barbering in 1963, and worked in Sheboygan before coming to Dorchester with his wife, Jeanette.
