Surnames: REDMOND ROBINSON BOYINGTON MORIN HOSELY HOSLEY CHURCHILL Source: CLARK COUNTY REPUBLICAN PRESS (Neillsville, Wis.) 02/13/1902 Redmond, John (1821 - 10 FEB 1902) John Redmond died Monday, Feb. 10, 1902, at the insane asylum at Whitehall, where he had been about a year and a half. His age was about 80 years. He formerly made his home with his daughter , Mrs. Orlo Robinson, until his mid failed and he had to be sent to the asylum. The funeral was held Wednesday at the residence of Mr. Robinson, Rev. W.E. Kloster of Greenwood officiating. The deceased was a native of the State of Maine, and was the father of Greenleaf, Geo. K., Marcellus and Charles Redmond, well known citizens of this county. (Follow on in 2/20/1902 R P) John Redmond, a well known resident of the town of York, Clark County, died Feb. 9th, 1902 at Whitehall, of pneumonia. Deceased was born in St. Frances, Lower Canada in 1821. He left home at the age of thirteen and went to Embeden, Somerset, Maine, where he bound himself out to a farmer to work until he became of age. Feb. 25th, 1842 he married Livonia Boyington. In 1845 they moved on a farm where they lived until the fall of 1865, then moved to Hudson, St. Croix County, this state, living there one year then moved to this county, settling in the town of York, where they lived until about three years ago, when they went to live with their youngest daughter, Mrs. O.L. Robinson in the town of Weston. Since the death of his youngest son seven years ago, his mind had been gradually failing, so it became necessary last May, to send him to the insane asylum. Deceased leaves a wife and eight children Celestia Morin, of Embeden, Me. Geo. K., of this city M.C. and G.L. of the town of York Mrs. May Churchill, of Weston C.L., of Loyal Mrs. Emma Hosely, of York and Mrs. Anna Robinson, of Weston. |
