Heinze, Selma (31 OCT 1909 – 5 SEP 2002)

Selma “Sally” Heinze, 92, Marshfield, formerly of Spencer, died on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2002, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer. The Rev. Karl Rose officiated. Burial was in Lynn Cemetery. Pallbearers were William Bauer, Michael Bauer, Roger Bauer, James Bauer, Daniel Bauer, John Weger, Larry Thompson and Roger Gorectke.

Selma Reidel was born on Oct. 31, 1909, in the town of Lynn, to Henry and Anna (nee Hatzenbrueler) Reidel. She married Ralph Heinze on June 28, 1929, at Mapleworks Lutheran Church, Granton. They owned and operated the Nasonville Bar from 1936-60. She lived in the area all her life. She later worked at Engelwood Nursery and served meals at the Ponderosa Apartments in Spencer.

Survivors include one daughter, Nancy (Gerald) Bauer, Marshfield; eight grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and one brother-in-law, Floyd (Lillian) Heinze, Marshfield.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Ralph; one grandson, Rick Bauer; three sisters, Elsie Builke, Leona Moldenhauer and Anita Kelley; and four brothers, Louis Reidel, Rudy Reidel, Paul Reidel and Edward Reidel.

Community Funeral Home, Spencer, assisted the family with arrangements.
