News: Withee, WI Local News (3 Nov 1921)
The Owen Enterprise Owen, Clark County, Wisconsin November 3, 1921 LOCAL NEWS WITHEE Mrs. Soren RASMUSSEN is reported to be quite ill at her home. T.H. BARBER left Thursday morning for Humbird where he has business for a couple of days. Mr. and Mrs. Walter BEILFUSS and children were guests of relatives at Neillsville on Sunday. W.C. TUFTS, wife and son Billie of Eau Claire paid friends in the village a visit on Saturday and Sunday. Mrs. C.H. BEILFUSS and son Bert were visitors at the home of her parents at Thorp on Saturday and Sunday. T.H. BARBER returned home on Tuesday from Iola and Tigerton where he had been for a weeks visit with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. KUEHL motored to Whitehall on Wednesday for a visit with relatives at that place, returning home Thursday evening. Marie and Kenneth BOYLAN, Alice ALBERTS and Caroline LARSEN came home from Stevens Point Thursday for a short visit with their parents. Vern DOUPHNER and Ray BIEIVER motored up from Wisconsin Rapids Saturday evening and spent Sunday at the home of the formers parents. Henry MOHLSTEAD received word this week of the death of his cousin, John LEE, who was burned to death by an explosion of gasoline, at Caston, this state. Mr. and Mrs. John ZASOBA and Geo. PETERSON and children motored to Chippewa Falls Sunday where they visited Mrs. PETERSON who is ill in the hospital there. Mrs. Geo. PETERSON underwent an operation at St. Joseph's hospital at Chippewa Falls Monday and reports are that she is getting along nicely since the operation. Henry BARATHOLOMAY and son Hailie returned home Sunday noon from Waukesha where they had been to attend the funeral of Mrs. BARATHOLOMAY's mother. Mrs. BARATHOLOMANY remained for a few days longer stay. Mr. and Mrs. Felix DOUPHNER, Mrs. L. MOODY and Albert DOUPHNER and son Clarence motored to Alma Center on Monday where they went to visit relatives. Mr. DOUPHNER and son Clarence returned home the same evening. |
