Gibson made a trip to Pittsville on Monday last. The first snow of the season fell last Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Fred Flint returned to her home in Washington Wednesday, accompanied by Mrs. H.A. King, who spend the winter in the far west. Israel Fulwiler visited with his son George at Marshfield the fore part of last week. Forest fires were again raging in the surrounding vicinity, but were checked by the recent rains. Mrs. Carl Fischer visited with friends at Maple Works, Thursday. The World's Fair visitors of this place have returned and seem well satisfied with what they beheld. D.E. Barker's potato diggers have returned and intend to start north soon. York Center is soon to have a new preacher. Will Gibson and wife are visiting with relatives at this place. Rev. J.A. Bolton, of Humbird, visited with his brother Sam Friday and in the evening preached at the M.F. Church at the Center. Mrs. Letty Bowers, of Plymouth, visited friends and relatives at this place Saturday and Sunday. George Trogner, of Neillsville, was the guest of Abie Turner Sunday. W.H. Rowe starts for the woods today. Walter, who will take care of your best girl? Miss Sadie Graves opens school in the Sutherland District today. |
