Obit: Neinas, Henry (1897 - 1924)
Surnames: NEINAS Source: NEILLSVILLE PRESS (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 05/15/1924 Neinas, Reinhold H. (18 NOV 1897 - 11 MAY 1924) Henry Neinas of Granton, Clark County, Wis. died almost instantly of heart trouble, Sunday afternoon about 5 o'clock at Grandview, Wis., where he was employed in road construction. With a companion he was playing "catch", throwing a ball back and forth between them, when he was seen to sit down on a small knoll. A friend, noticing paleness, went to him and asked him what was the matter, but got no reply, he had passed away. Reinhold Henry Neinas, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Neinas, was born in the town of Fremont, Clark County, Nov. 18, 1897. He came with his parents to Granton 19 years ago, attended school there, and for the past three years has been employed continuously by Ross Paulson in road building. He was a faithful and conscientious worker and was pleasant and kindly in manner. He had no enemies. "Hank" as he was called by his many friends, was a dutiful and loving son. Two weeks previous to his death he was home on a visit, and bought from a local dealer a box of candy and left directions to have it delivered to his mother on "Mother's Day". The last check he ever drew was drawn on May 9 to send as a birthday gift to his mother. Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Union Church in Granton, Rev. Wilson Mallory officiating. The pallbearers will be six cousins: Arnold and Edward Guk, Clarence and Oscar Neinas and Frank Baumann of Chili and Leonard Gehrke of Marshfield, with Wallace Rausch, Victor Cole, Phelps Spry and Bernard Pietenpol as honorary bearers and in charge of the floral tributes. The choir will consist of Byrl Winn, Price Lee, Mrs. Clough and Mrs. Schmidtke, with Mrs. Crandell as organist. Burial will take place in Windfall Cemetery. |
