Mrs. Anna Neis died suddenly at her home in Neillsville, Wednesday, May 16, her death resulting from a stroke of paralysis.

Deceased, whose maiden name was Anna Schwellenbach, was born at Jefferson, Wis., Jan. 6, 1861. Mrs. Neis was a faithful and devout member of the Catholic church and died fortified by all the consolations of the church. She was a most excellent woman in every way, doing well all the duties of life that came to her hands to do.

The funeral took place at St. Mary’s Church Monday forenoon, Rev. P. Weber officiating. The pall bearers were Jos. Barton, Jos. Prock, Frank Gall, Nolan Blau, Jos. Wiertz and John Marx.
