Sears, Frank (11 Aug. 1845 - 30 Sept. 1925)

Frank Sears died suddenly at the home of his step-son, Oscar Johnson, in the town of Lynn, Wednesday morning, September 30, 1925, at the age of 80 years, 1 month and 19 days. Death came as the result of heart failure. He was born August 11, 1845, in the state of Maine. He came to Wisconsin when 18 years of age. He was united in marriage to Mrs. Susan Johnson of Lynn in Missouri, where they lived 5 years. Then they moved to Washington, where they lived until two years ago last June, when they returned to Lynn and made their home with her son Oscar Johnson, where he died. Mr. Sears was cheerful and genial at all times and led a Christian life. He made many friends during the short period he lived here. He is survived by his wife and three nieces, Mrs. Julius Benedict, Mrs. Bert Huckstead and Mrs. Esther Stanley of Neillsville. The pall bearers were Herman Hasz, Willie Sternitzky, Rob Ure, Fred Kueste, Ed. Sternitzky and Milton Gehres. The funeral was held at the house Friday afternoon, Rev. Mallory officiating; burial was made in the Lynn Cemetery.
