Surnames: EBERHARDT FRICK WINKLER PANNIER Source: NEILLSVILLE PRESS (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 04/21/1927 Eberhardt, Herman H. (14 APR 1868 - 16 APR 1927) Herman H. Eberhardt passed away at his home in this city (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.), on Saturday, April 16, 1927, age 59 years and 2 days. He was born at Plymouth, Wis., April 14, 1868, and grew to manhood there. On July 27, 1898, he was married to Miss Clara Frick. They went to Chicago and established a business, living there for several years, then moving to Hilbert, Wis., where Mr. Eberhardt went into the furniture and undertaking business. Twenty-five years ago they moved to Neillsville and continued the same business. Mr. Eberhardt's health failing, he sold out his establishment last year and retired from active work. To his first marriage, two children were born, a little boy, who died soon after birth, and a daughter, Florence, who survives. In 1923 Mrs. Eberhardt died and in 1924 he was united in marriage with Mrs. Rose Krahn. Besides his wife and daughter he leaves to mourn his death his step-son Adelbert Krahn, also six brothers: Carl of Beardstown, Ill.; William of Racine, Wis.; Albert, Random Lake, Wis.; Emil, Milwaukee; Gustav, Oak Park, Ill.; Richard, Neillsville; also two sisters, Emma, Mrs. Oscar Winkler, Albuquerque, N. M; Clara, Mrs. Wm. Pannier, Granton. Besides theres there are many relatives and friends who sincerely mourn his death. Mr. Eberhardt was a man of fine moral and religious character. As a boy he was "brought up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord," and in a quiet and earnest manner followed his early teachings all his life. He was honorable and upright in all his dealings with his fellowmen and strove to live at peace with everyone. The funeral is held at the Reformed Church this Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Caleb Hauser officiating. |
