Thursday, 05/13/1926 -Schaller, John George (12 March 1862 - 1 May 1926) John George Schaller died at his home in the town of Lynn, May 1, 1926, at 7:00 o’clock p.m., after only 15 hours illness. Deceased was born in the town of Sigel, Cadott, Wisconsin, March 12, 1862, and grew to manhood in Chippewa County. He was married to Therese Glenwe in 1889; they lived at Boyd, Wis., until 13 years ago, when he moved to Granton and settled on a farm in the town of Lynn. He was a man of excellent character, upright and in every way a good citizen. His sudden death is a serious loss to his family and the community. He leaves to mourn his death his wife and two daughters, Elsie, Mrs. Harry Beilke, town of Grant, Martha, Mrs. Albert Schlinsog, town of Grant; 5 sisters, Bertha, Mrs. Christ. Joas, Chippewa Falls, Wis., Emma, Mrs. Ed. Sorg, California, Ida, Mrs. Herman Konke, Augusta, Mathilda, Mrs. Wm. Sorg, Carrie, Mrs. Clifford Laoigne, is deceased; four brothers, Otto Schaller, Chippewa Falls, Wm. Schaller, Cadott, August Schaller, Chippewa Falls, Herman Schaller, California and his aged mother, four grandchildren, Vera and Ruth Beilke, Paul and Lydia Schlinsog. The funeral was held at Zion Lutheran Church, Maple Works Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Theo. Martens officiating. There was a large attendance and many beautiful flowers. Those from away were Mr. August Schaller, Chippewa Falls, Wis.; Peter Schaller, of Cadott, Wis., Mr and Mrs. Christ. Joas, of Chippewa Falls, Wis., Mr and Mrs. Herman Konke and daughter, Myrtle of Augusta and Mrs. Charlie Schultz, of Boyd, Wis. |
