----Neff, Harry F. (27 Feb. 1873 - 31 Jan. 1931)

Harry F. Neff died at his home in Neillsville, Saturday, Jan. 31, after an illness of less than a week from pneumonia. He was taken sick on Monday in Milwaukee and was brought a home by his brother-in-law, Shirlee Geeslin , and continued to grow worse to the end.

Mr. Neff was born at Midway, Ohio, Feb. 27, 1873, and nearly reached the age of 58 year at his death.

He came to Neillsville about 1903. On Nov. 30, 1906 he was married to Miss Clara Geeslin, who survives him. During most of his life here he has been employed as a traveling salesman -------for the past 23 years bring employed by the Barlow and Seelig Manufacturing Co., as salesman for their washing machines. He was thoroughly reliable and efficient in his work; as a citizen he was quiet and unassuming, courteous to all whom he met, devoted to his home and family and in all things a worthy citizen. His death is a serious loss to his family and to this entire community.

Besides his wife, he leaves five children: Francis, Harriet, Robert, Homer and Harry; a daughter Madeline, died in 1919.

The funeral was held Monday afternoon at the home, the Masonic ritual being used. Beside the Free Mason there was an escort of Odd Fellow and Modern Woodmen.

Those from way attending the funeral were: a sister, Mrs. Snyder; and her husband from Dayton, Ohio; Mrs. S?ewart, president of the Barlow and Seelig Co., Mr. Scott, the General Manager, Mr. Seelig, a member of the firm and Mrs. Blumstein, all of Ripon, Wis., and Shirlee Geeslin of Reedsburg.
