OWEN - Jean Pabich, 73, of Owen died Sept. 26, 2004, at Black River Memorial Hospital, Black River Falls. Maurina Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

OWEN - Jean Pabich, 73, of Owen died Sept. 26, 2004, at Black River Memorial Hospital in Jackson County.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Maurina Funeral Home in Owen with a 7:30 p.m. rosary service.

OWEN - Jean S. Pabich, 73, lifelong resident of Owen, died on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2004, at Black River Memorial Hospital in Black River Falls while visiting the Warrens Cranberry Festival.

Funeral services for Jean will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 1, 2004, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen. The Rev. Eric Linzmaier will celebrate the Mass of Christian burial. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Withee.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Mahoney, James "Melli" Erickson, Chet Mroz, Phillip Pabich, Jerry Pabich and Frank Sarafin.

Visitation with family and friends will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004, at Maurina Funeral Home in Owen. There will be a rosary service at 7:30 p.m.

Jean Suzanne Mahoney was born May 31,1931, in Owen, the daughter of Wilburt Sr. and Eugenia (Pond) Mahoney. She was a 1949 graduate of Owen High School and worked in the family business of Master Package of Owen.

Jean and Norbert Pabich were united in marriage on Dec. 12, 1953, at Holy Rosary Parish in Owen.

A homemaker, Jean's life was filled with family and friends. She was a member of Happy Homemakers, an active member of Holy Rosary Parish Council of Catholic Women and St. Ruth's Circle. She and her family enjoyed spending their summers camping at Rock Dam. Jean also traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe, as well as China and Thailand, with many memories to share. She enjoyed the activities of her grandchildren and was devoted in their lives.

Jean will be dearly missed by her husband of 50 years, Norbert Pabich of Owen; two sons, Paul (Karen) Pabich of Dayton, Ohio, and Mark (Jody) Pabich of Menomonie; two daughters, Lynn Verdieck of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Ann Marie Pabich of Menomonie; and seven grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Wilburt Mahoney Jr.; and two sisters, Janet Wilson and Margaret Erickson.
