Hopp jumped from the window of his silo to the silage, 6 or 8 feet below, landing on the handle of a fork which was standing upright in the silo. The fork handle penetrated his intestines and caused serious internal hemmorhages. A transfusion was performed at the hospital last night but Hopp's condition remained serious today and physicians feared the effect of peritonitis resulting from the wound.
