Thu., 18 Nov. 2004 -Callies, Virginia Mae (5 April 1928 - 11 Nov. 2004) Virginia Mae Callies EDGAR -Virginia M. Callies, 76, of the town of Wien, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Edgar. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements. She was born April 5, 1928, in the town of Hull to Fred and Hildur (Larson) Strathman. She married Murray Callies on Aug. 7, 1954, in Colby. She was a switchboard operator until her marriage. She then was a homemaker on the family farm in the town of Wien. Surviving are her husband, Murray Callies, town of Wien; seven daughters, Nadine Callies, town of Wien, Helen (Darrel) Kempf and Susan (Tommy) Davis, all of Graham, Wash., Kathleen (James) Dalessandro, San Rafael, Calif., Carrie Callies, town of Wien, Angela (Steve) Jacobs, New Berlin and Peggy (Perry) Martyn, Athens; nine grandchildren; and one brother, Eugene (Mernajean) Strathman, Abbotsford. |
