Art Cram, 44, dies in Mead hunting shack on Sunday

Arthur E. Cram, 44, of 616 Grand Avenue, Neillsville, was found dead of natural causes in his Town of Mead hunting cabin on Sunday morning, October 2.

The deceased was born on March 19, 1939, in Neillsville, to Ernest and Antoinette (Hardy) Cram. He received his education in local schools, and then worked for H.H. VanGorden and Sons feedmill for several years. For the past 17 years, he was employed by Nelson Industries at their Neillsville muffler plant.

On April 20, 1963, he married Evelyn Kippenhan in Neillsville ceremonies.

Surviving him, besides his wife and mother, is a son, Arthur Cram, Jr., at home; aa daughter, Marilyn Cram, also at home; a sister, Mrs. Floyd (Caroline) Murphy, Greenwood; and two brothers, Ernest of Oshkosh, and Richard of Neillsville.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon, October 5, from the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. The Rev. Howard Ott of the local United Methodist Church officiated with burial made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Robert Schoengarth, Ray Dunlap, Dale Northup, Elmer Steltenpol, Wayne Kroenberger, and Devere Krejci.
