Surname: Robinson, Hotelling, Sterns, Woods, Longenecker, Schaefer, Leason, Neville, Forman, Young Source: Neillsville Press (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 25 Feb. 1932 Robinson, Earl Derby (30 April 1862 - 19 Feb. 1932) Early Derby Robinson, a resident of Neillsville and vicinity nearly all his life, died suddenly at his home on North Hewett Street, Friday, Feb. 19 aged nearly 70 years. He was born in New York state, April 30, 1862, and came to Neillsville with his parents when he was two years old. He grew up here attended Neillsville schools and in his young manhood followed wagon making. In November 1891 he was united in marriage with Miss Myrtle Hotelling of the town of Weston. They settled on a farm in that town which was their home until Nov. 1930 when they moved to Neillsville to occupy the Charlotte Sterns home which they had purchased some time before. Mr. Robinson was a man of quiet habits, a good farmer and an excellent citizens in every way. He grew up with this community and saw it develop from a wilderness, doing his full share in that development. He is survived by his wife and their three children; Glenn of Philadelphia; Emer of Neillsville and Mrs. Berris Woods of Portland, Oregon. Glenn arrived Monday. The two other children were at home when Mr. Robinson died. The funeral was held at Lowe’s Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating. The pall bearers were Matt Schaefer, Nick Schaefer, E. R. Leason, J. Neville, W. Forman and E. Young.
