Obit: Ruhmer, Dora (? - 1923)
Surnames: RUHMER Source: DORCHESTER/ABBOTSFORD CLARION (Abbotsford, Clark Co., WI) 04/27/1923 Ruhmer, Dora (? - 20 APR 1923) Miss Dora Ruhmer, for many years a resident of Dorchester, Clark County, Wis., died after a few hours illness Friday morning, April 20th, 1923, at her home at Sheboygan, Wis. Dora left Dorchester about 20 years ago when the family moved to Sheboygan. About 14 years ago she and her sister Martha entered the employ of the J. & W. Jung store, where they have since been employed. Miss Dora got up Friday morning in her usual good health and assisted in the little duties about the home and about nine o'clock started for her work, but returned shortly and complained of not feeling well. After her sister Bertha ministered to her and a doctor had came she felt better. When Martha and her niece, Gladys Ruhmer, Park Falls, who attending high school there, came home for dinner and went to her room to see how she was, they found that she had passed away quietly just six years since her father death and in the same manner. The funeral services were conducted at the home Monday afternoon by Rev. Stanton of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Sheboygan Falls, while a quartet from Grace Episcopal Church sang two beautiful selections. That she was loved by her many Sheboygan friends, just as she had always been loved by her Dorchester friends, was made plain by the profusion of beautiful flowers that were in evidence throughout the rooms. The brothers and sisters were all there for the obsequies, Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Ruhmer, Park Falls, going down Saturday night and Vilas, who attending he U. of Madison, arrived there that afternoon. The many Dorchester friends extend the Ruhmers the hands of love and sympathy during their dark hour. |
