Richardson, Marie (7 APR 1892 - 29 NOV 1925)

Mrs. Frederick A. Richardson died at St. Mary's Hospital at Duluth, Sunday morning at 2:10 a.m., Nov. 29th, 1925, after an illness of fifteen days duration, of heart trouble.

The body was taken to her home and Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock a funeral service was held at St. Michael's Church, which was the largest funeral ever held in that church.

The deceased was a popular and faithful member of the Ladies Guild of St. Michael's and the Rosary Society, which organizations of course were there in a body.

Tuesday night the remains arrived in Dorchester, Clark County, Wis., and were taken tot he home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Val Fleckenstein, and Wednesday morning another service was held at St. Louis Catholic Church, Rev. Pitzenberger officiating, and Edward Stelzel, Henry Jantsch, Fred Reynolds, Alvin Stelzel, Fred W. Leonhardt and Fred V. Hiebsch acting as pallbearers. Interment was made in the Catholic Cemetery south of the village.

Marie Fleckenstein was born April 7th, 1892 and was 33 years, 7 months and 22 days old at time of death.

The Fleckensteins moved to Dorchester when Marie was but a little girl and she received her education in the schools of this village. She grew to womanhood, sweet and gentle, well beloved by all who knew her. She was much missed when she went to Duluth, but it was there she met Mr. Richardson and their friendship grew until it culminated in their marriage, Nov. 23rd, 1914. One son was born to them, Frederick Jr., who with the father survive her.

Sunday upon receiving the news of her death, Frank Fleckenstein, her brother, departed for Duluth and returned with the funeral party, as did also Miss Anna, her sister, who had been there for some time to help care for her.

Besides the husband and little son, Mr. Richardson's brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Richardson of Duluth, came down for the interment. The flowers were many and beautiful and showed in a measure the love and esteem she was held in her home church and circle and we are sure she will be much missed by all.

Mr. Richardson and son will continue to live in their home, as he is auditor for the Western Weighing and Inspection Bureau, and will of course remain in the city.

Besides her husband and son, Marie leaves to mourn her loss, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Val Fleckenstein, brother Frank, and sisters, three living in the Dorchester area or near by, Mrs. Frank Hollmann, Mrs. Ed Schwerner and Miss Anna.
