Ferd Miller has recently purchased through F. C. Repplinger, the agent, a 2 h.p. gasoline engine for use on his farm.

Miss Margaret Melcher went to Minneapolis to remain until the parochial schools opens in Eau Claire next year, then she will return to that city.

Miss Lilah Frink, a relative of the Stallard and Raether families, was a visitor here the last of the week. Her home is in South Dakota, but she is attending school in Menomonie.

John Crandell has moved his family into his building west of the hardware store and expects to be ready to open his restaurant in a short time.

Oscar Wells left Thursday night for Maregno, Ill., where he expects to make his home for the present. His many friends here are sorry to have him leave the village.

John Chatten received a letter last week for Riley Quick who went to Arkansas to live. Mr. Quick did not like it there so went back to his old home at Logansport, Ind., and is building a home there.

Wm. Fowler went to Chicago with a car of stock Monday and will attend the live stock show.

Floyd Terrel, N. Hart and B. J. Stallard who were drawn for circuit jurors, went to Neillsville Monday.

Henry Bornell, who has been working at Sam Jones’ the past season returned to his home near Columbia Monday.
