Surname: Boness, Wergin, Vornholt Source: Neillsville Press (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 27 Oct. 1932 Boness, Charles F. W. (25 Nov. 1860 - 21 Oct. 1932) Charles F. W. Boness Was born in Pommerania, Germany, on November 25, 1860. He came to this country in April, 1883, at the age of 23 years, and lived first at Ottawa, Ill. On Dec. 23, 1892 he was married to Emma Wergin. To this union five children were born. He died last Friday, Oct. 21, at the Neillsville hospital after a short illness. He reached the age of 71 years, 10 months and 26 days. He leaves his wife, three sons: Robert R. Boness of Neillsville, Hugo and Otto of Barrett, Minn.; one sister, Mrs. Richard Wergin of Appleton, Wis., and one brother, Herman Boness of Ottawa. He leaves also four grandchildren. The funeral was held at Schiller’s funeral home Tuesday afternoon, Rev. E. H. Vornholt officiating. The sons, Hugo and Otto of Barrett, Minn., and the brother, Herman of Ottawa, Ill., attended the funeral. *Changed the spelling Ottowa, Illinois to Ottawa. Ottowa was in the original write up.
