Robert L Zank, age 88, of Pekin, IL died May 5, 2002 in the emergency room at Pekin Hospital.

Robert Louis Zank was born Jan. 19, 1914 in Neillsville to William and Emma (Stelloh) Zank. He married Lucille Hudson in 1939 in Pekin, IL. He later married Margaret Lois (Van Buren) Lohnes on Nov. 17, 1973, in Pekin, IL.

Robert worked as a pipe fitter and maintenance manager at Corn Products Co. in Pekin for 40 years, retiring in 1979. He previously worked for the Civil Conservation Corps during the 1930’s. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army.

Surviving is one daughter, Sandra J Jackson of Rockford, IL; two stepsons, Bradley Lohnes of Carlinville, IL and Kirk Lohnes of Albuquerque, NM; one grandson; six step-grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four brothers, Frank of Neillsville, Walter of Fairchild, and Louis and Harold both of Center City, MN; and one sister, Leona Evenson of St. Paul, MN.

Preceding him in death is his wife, four brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on May 15, at Noel-Henderson Funeral Home. Rev. Dwight Borden will officiate. Interment will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
