Buettner, James E. ( 27 May 1935 – 25 April 2005)

GRANTON - James E. Buettner, 67, of W2023 Highway 10, Granton, died at 10:25 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2005, at his home.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.

Buchanan Funeral Home assisted the family.

He was born May 27, 1935, in the town of Weston to Everett and Leota (Wicks) Buettner. He married Kay Crume on June 30, 1956, in Winona, Minn.

James was a welder and factory worker, retiring in 2002. He loved his Harley motorcycle and old tractors and trucks. He loved to go camping. He carried on the family tradition of blacksmith/welding. He also loved the challenge of making something for someone from just an idea. His talent was second to none.

Surviving are his wife, Kay Buettner, Granton; his children, Cindy (Tim) Keller, Lublin, Annette (Paul) Drescher, Neillsville, and Mike (Sharon) Buettner, Granton. He is further survived by nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his sister, Jackie Strangfeld, Neillsville; two sisters-in-law, Dianne Buettner, Neillsville, and Dorothy Buettner, Salem; and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by one son, Jim; his parents; and two brothers, Dwayne and Marvin "Bill" Buettner.
