Elder, Sarah Hannah (25 June 1873 – 29 July 1933)

Mrs. Sarah Hannah Elder was born 60 years ago the 25 day of June, at Bradford, Maine. She passed away July 29th 11:20 p.m. at Seattle, Wash. She was operated upon June 21st for gall bladder trouble and never got out of her bed.

She left Wisconsin first in 1904 coming to Montana and made several trips back to visit her parents Mrs. and Mr. Asa V. Southard. In 1912 she came from Butte, Montana to Seattle where she resided until her death.

Surviving her are her husband, Fred, three daughters, Mrs. J. V. Seymour, Butte, Mont.; Mrs. Vaughn Fisher and Mrs. L. W. Warner, Seattle; two sons Fred Jr. of Green Gorge and Clara of Butte, Mont., and eight grandchildren.

She leaves also two sisters and one brother; Mrs. Ida May Rose of Neillsville, Mrs. Adellah Jennings of Aberdeen, Wash., and Warren Southard of Neillsville.

Cremation was on August 1, and her ashes will be taken to Montana.
