Fri, May 6, 2005 Buccholz, Robert Karl (1 Dec. 1927 – 5 May 2005) ABBOTSFORD -Robert Karl Buchholz, 77, of Abbotsford died Thursday, May 5, 2005, at the home of his son in the town of Frankfort. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday May 7, 2005, at First Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford. The Rev. Keith Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Abbotsford Public Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Jason Buchholz, Justin Buchholz, Gregory Bauer, Joseph Bauer Jr., Nathan Buchholz, Kyle Buchholz, Travis Buchholz and Trevor Buchholz. Honorary pallbearers will be his granddaughters, Christine Ledinsky, Shauna Buchholz, Amanda Buchholz and Jessica Buchholz. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Maurina Funeral Home in Abbotsford and from 10 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the church. Robert was born Dec. 1, 1927, in the town of Holway, Taylor County, to Charles and Leona (Nichols) Buchholz. He graduated from Owen High School in 1945. Robert and Phyllis May were married on Aug. 4, 1950, in Ironwood, Mich. He was a truck driver for Foremost Dairy in Owen and later Morning Glory in Marshfield. He retired in 1987. He was also an inventor, enjoyed mechanic work and gardening. Robert is survived by his wife, Phyllis of Abbotsford; his children, Dale Buchholz of Germantown, Steven (Susan) Buchholz of Green Bay, Cathy Buchholz of Marshfield, Alan (Dawn) Buchholz of Colby, Carol Buchholz of Abbotsford and Kevin (Alice) Buchholz of Colby; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alvina Maldonis of Dorchester and Fern (Donald) Madden of Winchester; and one brother, Karl Buchholz of Curtiss. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Warren; a sister, Evelyn; and one grandson, Shawn Robert. |
