Marden, Archie Steve (11 June 1905 – 29 Nov. 1933)

Archie Steve Marden passed away at Krohn’s Hospital at Black River Falls on Nov. 29th at 5:40 a.m. He died from a bullet would which passed through his lung and liver.

He was born at Neillsville June 11, 1905. He was the only son of Steve and Martha Marden.

He was married to Rose Schroeder at Rockford, Ill. He lived around Neillsville until two years ago when he moved to Black River Falls to make his home. There he bought a small place and rand a wrecking plant.

He was a devoted husband and son and loyal to all his friends. He made many friends while at Black River Falls.

His funeral was held at Mattson’s Funeral Home and was taken to the Riverside Cemetery for burial. His funeral was held on Sunday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m.

He leaves to mourn his death his wife and four children: Geneva 7; Raymond 5; Delores 3; and Archie Jr. 9 mos. He also leaves his mother, stepfather, 1 step-sister and three step-brothers. His father also who is in Seattle, Wash.

The relatives from away who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schroeder; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ottow; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Christenson; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Garbusch and daughter; Harry Donahue and Henry Hale and sons.
