Surnames: PLATT OLDS WILSON HYDE ELLIS FLETCHER Source: Colby Phonograph (Colby, Clark County, Wis.) 01/17/1883 --------- Platt, Mary H. (27 NOV 1815 – 6 JAN 1883) Died, at her residence in the town of Colby, Clark County, Wis., on Saturday, Jan. 6th, 1883, Mary H., wife of Stephen Platt, aged 68 years. Mary H. Olds was born in the state of Massachusetts, Nov. 27, 1825. In 1831 she was united in matrimony with Dr. F. B. Hyde. In 1861 she removed with her second husband, A. H. Fletcher to Wisconsin, located near Hartford, where Mr. Fletcher departed this life, and she again embarked on the sea of matrimony with Mr. Platt, who is left to mourn the departed one. The deceased was the mother of eleven children, six of whom are still living and three residing in this state, Mrs. Geo. Wilson and Mrs. W. C. Ellis of this town, and Mr. George Hyde of Dane Co. The funeral ceremonies took place last Sunday at the schoolhouse in this village, conducted by Rev. Woodly of Unity.
