East Pleasant Ridge

Herman Shuldah of La Crosse spent a few days of last week at the Otto Handke home, also called on Sam Cook.

Mrs. Herman Braatz and Mrs. Ernest Vine served on the jury last week.

Wildrose School closes with a picnic on Thursday.

Ruth Roder, Aileen Hughes and Gertrude Bartz went fishing Monday after school.

Mrs. Elva Howard and Mrs. Ernest Vine attended the women’s club meeting at Neillsville Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sears of Levis were callers at the Hughes home on Sunday.

Rev. Leonard Westphal of Random Lake spent the first of last week at Wm. Kurth’s.

Mrs. Jas. E. Hughes accompanied the Farrands of Neillsville to Waukesha and other points near there on a weekend visit to relatives returning Sunday evening.

The Ridge ball team played Globe Sunday. Ridge came out ahead.

Jane Woelffer, Grace Grow and Jeanette Schweinler of Neillsville, also Elsie Selves ate supper with Aileen Hughes Wednesday evening.

New received from Nebraska by Wm. Kurth states his son Raymond has the small pox but is getting along all right.

Kurth school played a game of baseball with Wildrose School Monday p.m. Kurth won. Better luck time boys.

Chas. And Ed Hubing and William Vine made a business trip to Black River Falls Thursday p.m.

A letter from Mrs. Margaret Hughes Murphy from Canada says dry and lots of dust storms. We have had a plenty here. Eggs 7 c a dozen there.
