Surname: Krueger, Berger, Weiand, Kuhl, Tratz, Auman, Dobson, Grandprey, Hendrickson Source: Sterns Enterprise (Albany, MN) June 2003 Krueger, LORETTA C. (3 June 1912 – 9 June 2003) Loretta C. Krueger, 91, longtime Stanley, Wis., area resident, passed away Monday, June 9, at Oakbrook Health and Rehabilitation Center in Thorp, Wis. Funeral services were held Friday, June 13, at Stanley United Methodist Church with burial in the Oakland Cemetery, both in Stanley, Wis. Loretta was born June 3, 1912, in Avon the daughter of Nicholas and Elizabeth (Berger) Weiand. As a young girl she grew up in North Dakota and then moved with her family to Wisconsin. She was united in marriage to Frank Krueger in July 16, 1935, at the Stanley United Methodist Parsonage. They lived and farmed in the Town of Worden, Clark County until the death of her husband in 1966. Loretta then moved to Stanley in 1967 and worked at Victory Memorial Hospital until her retirement. She was a member of the South Worden Social Club, Stanley United Methodist Church and the Dorcas Guild for over 60 years. After her retirement, she enjoyed quilting in her spare time. Loretta is survived by her six children, Richard (Kathy) of Charlevoix, Mich., Marjorie (Jack) Kuhl of Fort Lauderdale, Flda., Rex (Beatrice) of Chetek, Wis., Colleen Tratz of Stanley, Wis., Dale of St. Paul, Minn., Gary (Mary) of Mosinne, Wis.; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Loretta is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank in 1966; and seven brothers and sisters, Frank, Leo and Micheal Weiand, Mary Auman, Delphine Dobson, Evelyn Grandprey and Ann Hendrickson. Plombon Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
