Shortville

Floyd Hagie and family were Sunday visitors at Ed Hagie’s. Mrs. Ed and Mrs. Floyd Hagie called on Mrs. Wm. Stevens, Sunday p.m.

Henry Krutsch and family visited at Mrs. Rob’t Kuhns Sunday p.m.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Groves spent Saturday evening at Harold Elmendorf’s.

We’re all glad to know we have telephone service again.

The birthday club at Ed shorts for Mrs. Short and Mrs. Bob Prochaska was well attended and all enjoyed a very nice time.

Lucille Wilding has been having a bad cold.

Mr. and Mrs. Louie Matousek and Mrs. Frank Matousek Sr., went to Britt, Iowa, to visit Mrs. F. Matousek’s brother who is ill, and help with the work.

Mr. and Mrs. Art O’Dell and Horace O’Dell sent Wednesday at the Wm. Groves home and left for Laverne, Iowa, Thursday a.m. to spend some time. Wm. Moon and family occupy the O’Dell farm during their absence.

Miss Edith Krutsch has employment at Mrs. Geo. Ehrlichs while Mr. Ehrlichs has employment in Chicago.

Henry Krutsch had wood sawers Monday p.m.

Martin Reinart Jr. spent Sunday with home folks.

Richard Qually and Leonard Ferguson delivered honey in on our roads Friday.

Geo. Strubing is hauling wood for Ed Hagie.

The young folks spent Sunday p.m. on Steven’s hill skiing.

Mrs. Rob’t Juedes is quite ill. We hope she is soon out again.

Alfred Eberts sawed wood Tuesday p.m.

Jesse Wilding has been helping Floyd Alstot get corn fodder out to the main road from Tom Winters farm so he can haul it on this truck.
