Rueth, Florence (5 AUG 1929 – 1 JUL 2005)

Florence Rueth, 75, town of Sherman, died Friday, July 1, 2005, at Saint Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 5, at St Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. The Rev. Roman Kaiser officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were her grandsons, David Badgart, Kevin Rueth, Travis Rueth, Robin Rueth, Jason Lindekugel, Brandon Kesler, and Troy Rueth. Honorary pallbearers were Schannon Gumz, Adam Quelle and Angel Rueth.

Florence Margaret Schmidt was born on Aug. 5, 1929, in Clark County, to John and Christina (nee Hauser) Schmidt. She graduated from Loyal High School in 1947. She married Eddie Rueth on April 6, 1948, at St.Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. Th couple farmed in the town of Sherman and she raised their 10 children. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was a great cook and loved to sew, garden, quilt, read and do crossword puzzles. She loved playing cards and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, Eddie Rueth, Loyal; her children, Patti (Donald) Bangart, Greenwood, Bob (Marie) Rueth, Loyal, Tom (Anna) Rueth, Loyal, Ralph Rueth, Loyal, Roger (Lori) Rueth, Loyal, Sue (Michael) Gumz, Athens, Bernadette "Bengie" (Larry) Quelle, Loyal, Roy "Bear" (Helen) Rueth, Unity, Rose Lindekugel, Ripon, and Kay (Mark) Krings, New Brighton, Minn.; 21 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; her brothers, Verland (Delores) Schmidt, Neillsville, Bob (Winnie) Schmidt, Milton, and George (Jane) Schmidt, Janesville; one sister, Sally (Clarence) Becker, Neillsville; her sisters-in- law, Josephine Schmidt, Marshfield, Dorothy Schmidt, Antigo, and Betty Schmidt, Loyal; and many nieces , nephews, other relatives and good friends,

Preceding her in death were her parents; five brothers, Joseph, Paul, Hank, Tony and Bernie; one granddaughter, Angel Dawn Rueth, on April 20, 1990; and one grandson, Adam Quelle, on May 19, 1993.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, assisted the family with arrangements.
