Frane, Lila Esther (3 May 1916 – 29 Aug. 1991)

Colby – Lila Esther Frane, 75, Colby, died at 9:08 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.

Services will e at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby, with Rev. Bruce Ball officiating. Burial will be in the parish Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Rux Funeral Home, Colby, after 4 p.m. Monday with combined Christian Mothers and general parish rosary service at 4:15.

She was born May 3, 1916, in Clark County, to the late Henry and Mable Hardrath. She attended schools in Colby.

She was married to Alvin Frane in October 1941, in Colby. He died Aug. 22, 1964.

She and her husband farmed in the town of Colby. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers Society.

Survivors include one son, Dennis, two daughters, Jeanette Frane Erikson and Mrs. David (Mary Jane) Erikson, all of Colby, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by three brothers.
