Edblom, Eleanore Clara (10 Oct. 1921 – 1972)

Unity – Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby, for Mrs. Arnold (Eleanore) Edblom, 50, of route 1, Unity, whose death was reported in Friday’s News-Herald. Death was due to complications following heart surgery Feb. 2.

The Rev. David Ault, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Riplinger, will officiate and burial will be made in the Green Grove Cemetery, town of Green Grove.

Visitations may be made at the Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby, beginning at 1 p.m. today (Saturday).

The former Eleanore Clara Weigman was born Oct. 10, 1921, in the town of Colby. Her first marriage was June 24, 1941, to Elmer Meyer, who preceded her in death in September, 1947. Her second marriage was on June 14, 1950, in Riplinger, to Arnold Adblom, who survives her. The couple farmed in the town of Unity since that time.

Mrs. Edblom was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Riplinger, was past president of its Ladies Aid, and was a member of the Maplewood Homemakers.

Other survivors include four sons, Ronald D. Meyer, Abbotsford; Robert F. Meyer, Unity; Garry E. Meyer, Wausau; and Kenneth A. Edblom, Unity; a daughter, Miss Charlene Gail Edblom, at home; six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Walter (Bernitz) Stecker, Marshfield, and a brother, Merlin Weigman, Oshkosh.

She also was preceded in death by a sister in infancy and her parents.
