Surnames: GRAFFUNDER SPIECKERMANN Source: Colby Phonograph (Colby, Clark County, Wis.) 01/03/1889 Graffunder, Augusta (1840 – 29 DEC 1888) Mrs. Augusta Juliana, wife of Julius Graffunder of the town of Holeton, Marathon Co., died Saturday, Dec. 29th, 1888. She was born in 1840 in Schneidemuchl, Province Posen, Germany. Her maiden name was Spieckermann. She came with her husband to the town of Holeton in 1877. For some time she has been a sufferer from a cancer which finally caused her death. Besides her husband she leaves two daughters and one son to mourn her death. She was buried in St. John Cemetery, Holeton, yesterday, Rev. Fr. Otto officiating at the funeral. |
