Mr. Michael Prock, pictured below, has lived in Wisconsin all his life, having been born in Jefferson County in 1865. He moved with his parents to Monroe county in 1862. In 1878 he came to Clark County. When he came here he purchased eighty acres of wild land and paid five dollars down. Three years later he purchased another eighty, and now has a fine large farm, well stocked and paid for. He came here with no capital, and has made what he has entirely from Clark County soil. He was married in 1879 to Miss Mary Schwellenback. He lives in the township of Weston. (from "Clark Co. Illustrated" by Saterlee, Tifft, and Marsh-1890)
