Robinson, Orlo (12 MAR 1860 – 31 AUG 1915)

Orlo Robinson, whose death was briefly mentioned in last week’s issue, was born in St. Lawrence Co., N.Y., March 12, 1860. He came to Wisconsin with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Robinson in 1866. In 1873 they moved to a farm in the town of Weston, Clark County, six miles north of Neillsville, where deceased lived until he sold this farm in 1913, and moved to Neillsville. In 1883 he was married to Miss Anna Redmond, who survives him. He leaves also two daughters, Mrs. Chris Brick of Montana and Mrs. Robert Dwyer of Neillsville, also one brother, Earl Robinson of Weston.

Orlo Robinson was a man who was universally liked and respected. He was an intelligent citizen, and took an active and helpful part in town and county affairs. He was a good husband and father, a grue gentleman in all the walks of life. His death seemingly came all too soon, while he was still far from old age, and it has left a sad vacancy in the community. The funeral took place at the home on Friday, Rev. Colman preaching the sermon. Members of the Modern Woodmen Camp and the Odd Fellow Lodge, of which orders he was a member, attended in a body and took part in the burial services.
