                 MATHIAS KAUDY

Born in France in 1826, where he lived until 1848. He then came to New Orleans, living there until 1856 when he came to Dodge county, Wisconsin where he lived until 1882, at which time he came to Colby, Clark County, Wisconsin and has since lived. He owns and operates a fanning mill factory at Colby where he employs several men. He was married in 1857 to Miss Mary Bota, who is also a native of France. They have nine children. Mr. Kaudy is the representative of Colby on the county board. ("Clark Co. Illustrated" by Saterlee, Tifft & Marsh, 1890)
