Cummins, Rosanna (18 SEP 1830 – 4 FEB 1923)

Rosanna Misner was born in Rochester, N.Y. Sept. 18, 1830.

She was united in marriage to George E. Cummins in 1846. They moved form New York to Michigan and then to Wisconsin. To this union there were four boys and five girls born. The eldest son, George L. Cummins, died several years ago at Elmsburg, Wash. After the children were nearly all grown up Mr. and Mrs. Cummins moved back to Michigan, where Mr. Cummins died. For two years Mrs. Cummins, with her two youngest sons, lived together.

Then she was remarried to John F. Misner. They moved to Wisconsin in 1903 and made their home south of Greenwood, Clark County, Wis., when taken sick with the flu. She passed away Feb. 4, 1923 at the age of 92 years, 4 months and 16 days.

She leaves to mourn her loss four girls and four boys, Hanna Carter of Froid, Mont.; Hester Howden, Portland, Ore.; Ida Buckham, Los Angeles, Cal.; Matilda Davidson, Duluth; John of Cooperstown, N.D., Minnie Syth of Greenwood. She also leaves two sisters in Buffalo, N.Y.

She also leaves twenty grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Misner was a loving mother, as well as a friend to all who knew her.

On account of the cold weather and sick ones, the funeral was held from the home Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 6th. The body was laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Bickell officiated.
