(19 JUL 1913 – 6 OCT 2002) Aura Benedict, 89, Neillsville, Clark County, Wis., died on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, at Memorial Medical Center, Neillsville. A memorial service was held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the York Center United Methodist Church. The Rev. Wendell Williams officiated. Burial was in the York Center Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandchildren. Aura Esther Bradbury was born on July 19, 1913, in Mountain Grove, Mo., to Frank Elmer and Lola Esther Beatrix (nee Rounsville) Bradbury. She married Nyle Edgar Benedict on Oct. 15, 1932, in Norfolk, Neb. They lived their entire married lives in the York Center area. Survivors include one daughter, Georgia (Donald) Pinkerton, Oshkosh; two sons, Donald (Joan) Benedict, Fond du Lac, and Larry (Dee) Benedict, Stevens Point; 10 grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Morvin (Marian) Benedict, Neillsville; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Nyle, in July 1981; one brother and two sisters. The Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, assisted the family with arrangements. |
