Feind, Louise (26 Dec. 1845-23 Nov. 1915) From The (Colby, Wis.) Phonograph, Thursday, Nov. 25, 1915. DEATHS. Mrs. Louise Feind, one of the oldest residents of Colby, died at the home of her son Charles, in the town of Colby, at six o’clock Tuesday morning, Nov. 23d, 1915, aged 69 years, 10 months and 27 days. Her husband died here December 10th, 1886. We lack the data for an obituary in this writing. ______________________________________ From The (Colby, Wis.) Phonograph, Thursday, Dec. 2, 1915. Deaths Mrs. Louise Feind, who died at the home of her son Charlie, in the town of Hull, on Tuesday morning, Nov. 23rd, 1915, was born in Germany, Dec. 26th, 1845. She was married to Edward Feind in Nov., 1866, and in April 1867, came to America with her husband, locating in Chilton, Wis. In 1873 moved to Colby, and settled on a farm in the town of Colby, near this city. Her husband died Dec. 26th, 1886. She continued to reside on the farm until a few years ago, when the farm was sold. She has since made her home with her son Charlie. She leaves 3 sons and 5 daughters to mourn her death. They are, Gustav of Tomahawk; Charlie and Edward of Colby; Mrs. Wm. Restow of Green Bay; Mrs. John Tesmer of Colby; Mrs. Albert Steckhahn of Milwaukee; Mrs. Louis Rohnert of Fond du Lac; Mrs. Martin Matson of Tomahawk. The funeral was held from Zions Lutheran church, Friday, Rev. C. C. Hartenstein officiating.
