Charge Fargo (Charles B. Fargo), of this city, an old soldier, and well known by all our people, died last Tuesday of pneumonia, after an illness of one week. He had been trying a long time to get a pension, and had just succeded in finding his Captain, whose affidavit alone was needed to finish his case, and it is probable the claim would have been allowed within a week. But he has passed away, and whetgher his widow will be able to secure it remains to be seen.

Note: Charles served for the Union Army during the Civil War from 8 Sep 1864 - 30 May 1865.
