The CHS Class of 1942

The 1942 class of Colby High School held a 60 year reunion Sept. 28 at the Redwood Supper Club at Unity. Thirty-four people attended including 21 class members, spouses and friends.

The committee for this event were Marie (Beyerl) Waldhart, Galen. Comeaux and Calirn Schulz. Registration and social hour started at 5 p.m. with dinner served at 6:30 p.m.

Calrin Schulz was toastmaster for the evening. The moment of silence was observed for the 15 deceased class members. A short program included comments for class members, trivia and drawing for door prizes. It was decided to have another reunion in five years with the same committee doing the planning.

Members present for the reunion were Delores (Beyerl) Jacobs, Marie (Beyerl) Waldhart, Galen Comeaux, Mr. and Mrs. Arvin Dommer, Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Firnstahl, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis (Mary Frane) Heldebrand, Marjorie (Gries) Yost, Halbert Hardrath, Bernice (Kobs) Rosselet, Frances (Kunze) Angelich, Mr. and Mrs. Karl (Mary Ovens) Ewan, Dorothy (Riley) Fuller, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Scheel, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Schrofnagel, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Schulz, Mr. and Mrs. Jerome (Bette Smudde) Larson, Lyla (Stall) Rasmussen, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Stall, Patricia (Weix) Carpenter, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Whitney, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Well. Also present were Gerald Kobs a brother of Bernice Rosselet and Sara (Spencer) Keehn a friend of Lyla Rasmussen.
