D. J. Spaulding has about 5,000,000 feet of pine and hardwood logs at his mill on Black River and is still putting them in lively.

James A. Tufts will break camp about the 16th. He has been logging for his brother W. S. on the Pupple river. Albert has done a very good winter's work considering the deep snow and his smiling countenance will soon be seen on our streets.

John Bryden was in town Monday. He is running camp for his brother, James, on the north fork of the Pupple river. Jack is doing a big winter's work, he has in over 4,000,000 and if, the winter holds out till the 24th he will get in 5,000,000. He is hauling on a four-trip road with four ? of sleds and the logs have been skidded with three yoke of oxen. Jack haint a very good looking man but he knows how to handle a crew of men just the same.
