Obit: Pretsch, Lottie (1875 – 1951)
Surnames: Pretsch, Lloyd, Sawall, Forine Source: Clark County Press (Neillsville, Clark County, WI) December 1951 Pretsch, Lottie (4 March 1875 – 18 Dec. 1951) Mrs. Reinhold (Lottie) Pretsch, age 76, of R. 1 Neillsville, died at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Byno (Mary) Lloyd last Monday afternoon, December 18, 1951. Funeral services were conducted Thursday from the Georgas Funeral Home. Burial was made in the South Pine Valley Cemetery. The Rev. Virgil Nulton officiated. Mrs. Pretsch, nee Sawall, was born March 4, 1875, to Frederick and Anna (Forine) Sawall in Sauk Co. Wisconsin. She received her education there. On March 23, 1892, she married Reinhold Pretsch in Sauk County. They farmed there until 1916, when they moved to Clark County and located on the Burton Wells farm on the River Road. They resided there for several years, when they moved onto a farm in the town of Hewett, where they lived until Mr. Pretsch’s death in 1938. She then made her home with her children. Surviving are the following children: Fred of Shortville, Howard of Spring Green, Reinhold of West Allis, and Mary (Byno) Lloyd of Neillsville; two brothers, George Sawall of Merrimac and Ewald Sawall of California; a sister, Emma (Carl) Gibbs, of Prairie du Sac; 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Preceding Lottie in death was an infant daughter Mable; two brothers and her husband. Pallbearers were A. B. Wightman, Christ Mohr, Otto Gehrt, Otto Wetzel, Fred Mohr and William Milbreit. Miss jean Kosmosky sang two selections accompanied by Mrs. Virgil Nulton. Out of town people attending the services included: Reinhold Pretsch of West Allis, Mrs. Dammon Bauer and Howard Pretsch of Spring Green and Mrs. Carl Gibbs of Prairie du Sac.
