S. Collins and Frank Laurent started for Cloquet, Minn., Monday, where they will be employed on dam work during the summer.

The Ladies Social Circle will be entertained by Mrs. I. Smith, Thursday afternoon, May 8th. Supper will be served. Everybody invited.

John Seass has returned from Eau Claire, being still troubled considerably from the result of the removal of a cancer from his lower lip some time ago.

Mrs. M. Mertens, accompanied by the children, went to La Crosse on Monday, where Mr. Mertens is under the treatment of Dr. D. F. Powell. A decided improvement is reported in Mr. M's condition, and it is hoped he will soon return here, hale and hearty as ever.

A strawberry and ice cream festival will be held at Sargent's Hall, Saturday evening May 3rd. The proceeds will be used to finish the M. E. Church. Everyone make a special effort to come for we wish to finish the steeple and paint the church. ...... Com.
