Obit: Borchert, Friederike (1830 – 1900)
Surnames: BORCHERT Source: Colby Phonograph (Colby, Clark County, Wis.) 03/22/1900 Borchert, Friederike (25 SEP 1830 – 14 MAR 1900) Died, at the home of her son in the town of Colby, Clark Co., Wis., on Wednesday, March 14th, 1900, Mrs. Friederike Borchert, in the 70th year of her age. Mrs. Borchert was born Sept. 25th, 1830 in Yatznick, Pommern, Germany; she was united in marriage with Mr. John Borchert in 1859. They came to America and settled in Dodge Co., Wis. in 1871, and came to Colby in 1879; her husband died in 1892, since when she has lived with her son; she was the mother of two children, a son and a daughter, of whom, the son, Ernest Borchert only, survives. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon from Zion’s Church, Rev. A. Kuring officiating, and the remains were followed to their last resting place by a large concourse of her friends and neighbors. |
