Obit: Elchlepp, Albert (1835 – 1900)
Surnames: ELCHLEPP Source: Colby Phonograph (Colby, Clark County, Wis.) 08/16/1900 Elchlepp, Albert (21 FEB 1835 – 14 AUG 1900) Albert Elchlepp, an old resident of the town of Colby, Clark Co., Wis., died suddenly, Tuesday, evening, Aug. 14th, 1900, of apoplexy. He had been working in the hay field all afternoon and appeared to be in usually good health. About half past six o’clock he visited the water closet and later was found there, dead, by Mrs. Elchlepp. Dr. Nedry of Dorchester was called and upon examination the cause to have been apoplexy. Albert Elchlepp was born in Germany, Feb. 21st, 1835, and was there married; he came to America with his family in 1877, settling at Plymouth, Wis., where they resided for three years, coming to Colby in 1880, and located on the farm in the town of Colby where he has since resided. He leaves to mourn his sudden death, besides his wife, eight sons and three daughters. The funeral will be held tomorrow (Friday) afternoon from St John’s Evangelical Church, Rev. M. Zutz officiating. |
