Surname: Roohr, Yonker, Raeck, Witt, Neuman, Hein, Hardrath, Schuette, Ruzek Source: Scrap book two: by Erna Schenk Price Contributed by Halbert “Bud” Hardrath Roohr, Elizabeth (19 Aug. 1887 – 1967) Loyal – Mrs. Elizabeth Roohr, 79, Riplinger, died at noon Wednesday at the Havenet Nursing Home in Owen where she had been a patient for the past year. Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Riplinger with the Rev. M. L. Yonker officiating. Burial will be made in the town of Beaver Cemetery. The body will repose at the Myre Funeral Home in Loyal from Friday morning until time of services. The former Elizabeth Raeck as born in Manitowoc County Aug. 19, 1887, and later came to the town of Green Grove, Clark County, where she received her education. Her marriage to William Roohr, who preceded her in death, December, 1949, took place Dec. 5, 1906, in Clark County. After their marriage, the couple farmed in the township of Beaver until their retirement in 1946. After the death of her husband, Mrs. Roohr had made her home with her children until going to the Havenet Nursing Home. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church at Riplinger. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Bernice Witt and Mrs. Lawrence (Gertrude) Neuman, Unity; and Mrs. Paul (Beverly) Hein, Owen; William Roohr Jr., Medford, Ore.; and Adam Roohr, Riplinger; three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Hardrath, Chicago; Mrs. Lillie Schuette, Unity; and Mrs. Leona Ruzek, Manitowoc; two brothers, Fred Raeck, Unity; and Herman Raeck, address unknown; 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a brother and two sisters.
