Obit: Pradt, Mrs. C.R. (1823? – 1901)
Surnames: PRADT Source: Colby Phonograph (Colby, Clark County, Wis.) 02/13/1902 Pradt, Mrs. C.R. (1823? – 11 FEB 1901) Mrs. C.R. Pradt died at Wausau Tuesday morning of pneumonia, in the 79th year of her age. Her three sons, Henry, Louis and Walter, were at her bedside at the time of her death. Mrs. Pradt came to Colby, Clark Co., Wis. with her husband twenty-eight or twenty-nine years ago, and moved onto a homestead in the town of Holeton, Marathon Co., where they resided until about sixteen years ago, when they removed to Wausau, where Mr. Pradt died about four years ago. Mrs. Pradt was the mother of several children, of which the three sons mentioned above, survive her, the others having died in their infancy. She was a kind, motherly woman, beloved by all that knew her. She had been in feeble health for some time and fell an easy victim to that dreaded pneumonia. Her death will be mourned by her three sons and by many who had come under the influence of her motherly kindness.
