Obit: Burhop, Diedrich C. (1840 – 1902)
Surnames: BURHOP KAMMANN Source: Colby Phonograph (Colby, Clark County, Wis.) 06/12/1902 Burhop, Diedrich C. (25 OCT 1840 – 6 JUN 1902) Died, at his home in this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), Friday, June 6th, 1902, of consumption, Mr. Diedrich Christian Burhop, in the 62nd year of his age. Diedrich Christian Burhop was born Oct. 25th, 1840, at Hanover, Germany, and was married to Miss Margaret Kammann, Dec. 25th, 1868; he came to America in October 1873, locating in Sheboygan Co.; in 1880 he came here and settled on a farm in the town of Hull, Marathon Co., where he lived until about a year ago when he removed to this city. He leaves a wife and six children, four sons and two daughters, to mourn his death. The funeral was held from Zion Lutheran Church on Monday afternoon, Rev. Moekler of Dorchester officiating.
