Property: Briggs, Wm. Sawmill (1894)
Source: Thorp Courier (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 22 Feb 1894 The new saw mill owned by Wm. Briggs, located six miles south-east of Thorp started up on Monday and will continue to saw during the season. The stock already on hand consists of about 500,000 feet of pine, oak and basswood, and when sawed will be hauled to the old landing three miles east of this village for shipment.
